Going Back To School...No PhoneSpeaking of phones, Dad disconnected my phone today. I saw it coming awhile back, so to be completely honest, I was just waiting for it to happen. He's a person that likes to have control over everyone's life and I mean EVERYONE he knows. I had told him after our recent episode that I maybe in the future I can talk to him but as things are right now, I just can't deal with it. So...1) He disconnected my phone (even though he'll be charged for like 900$ for early disconnection) because he thinks I'll go crawling back for my phone, but I won't. 2) Out of anger. My Mom keeps telling me "You shouldn't have said that to your Father, "not going to speak to him anymore." I continue to explain to her but it's pointless with her, it always is no matter how many times he has treated her like crap.
I explain to her that if you really think about it, it's kinda like black mail. Even though I don't have any money at the moment...If I sit here and continue to take his insults, negativity, ect, but all for me to have my phone..It's kind of considered black mail in my mind. If I take his crap, I get a phone. If I stick up for myself, I lose my phone. If that's the choice that I have to make then I choose a life without a phone for now. Yeah, a phone is important right now but my mind honestly can't take anymore of him. I've put up with him and turned the other cheek for no good reason and now I'm just done...Mom really has to choose her words right when she tells me that If I didn't say such things then I would still have a phone..."Thanks for the blame game, Mom." Yeah, I realize that but it had to be done. To be honest, I thought Dad would have disconnected my phone the day he heard me say that but it took him like 2 weeks. Meh, what's done is done.
I have no regrets.
